    Jamaica - A Beauty Spot

The name “Jamaica” comes from the Arawak Indian word “Xaymaca.” The Taino people, who are believed to be of Arawak origin, were the original settlers of the island, and in their language, Xaymaca means land of wood and water. Many different kinds of trees and plants thrive in Jamaica. One particular tree, known as the Lignum Vitae Tree, bears Jamaica’s national flower. Jamaican Sunday Dinner

Sunday dinner with Andi and her girls is an experience. This particular meal consisted of fricassee chicken, potato salad and fresh vegetables lovingly put together by the best cook I know – Andi. Sunday dinner signifies the time in which we gather together to relax after a busy week of work and school, giving thanks for God’s blessings. Sometimes we all participate in preparing the Sunday Dinner, but most often, it’s Andi. Thanks Andi. #Jamaica #JamaicaSoNice #Food #Fun #Lov
